• Important IRS Form 1098 & IRS Form 1099-INT Information - Any dividends or interest paid on deposit and/or loan accounts during 2009 that were closed prior to December 1, 2009, with the exception of a 1st mortgage loan, was not reflected on your December Year-End 2009 Heritage Federal Credit Union statement under the section titled, “Year-to-Date Financial Summary” located on the last page of your statement. 

Please refer to the recently mailed IRS Form 1098 for accurate mortgage interest paid and the recently mailed IRS Form 1099-INT for accurate taxable dividends earned.

• REDEEM POINT2POINT REWARD POINTS TO ASSIST WITH THE RELIEF EFFORTS IN HAITI
  In addition to redeeming your Point2Point Reward Points for any charity through CharityChoice, now you may also designate 100% of your donation to go specifically to the disaster relief efforts in Haiti. Simply choose the charity of your choice listed in the "Disaster Relief" or "International" categories. CharityChoice options are available for redemption of 3,500 points (value of $25) or 6,500 points (value of $50). The redemption options can be viewed on the Redemption/Charity page of our Point2Point Rewards website at https://www.point2pointrewards.com/charity_category.asp. Once members opt to redeem their points for CharityChoice an e-mail is sent containing instructions. Participants will also receive a donation confirmation e-mail for their records. Reminder - The IRS has designated that donations to the Haiti relief effort can be deducted on your 2009 or 2010 tax return.
